♦ 1 and 3/4 hour Skills Workshop (Sat) $45 casual / First session FREE plus $120 for 3 sessions

“Practical Pet Dog Training Basics and Social Skills” Wed evenings, 7 pm to 8 pm 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th January, 2015 $110 for 4 weeks / $30 casual attendance

Now is not the time to let your puppy or young dog have time off. Young dogs develop Angela lures a puppy to lie down on the mat. very quickly and by the time training clubs start again in Feb 2015, your puppy could have turned into the nightmare adolescent monster from Hell! However, this need not happen. Our Summer School will allow you to continue practical training over the holiday season. Older dogs needing to brush up on the basics are welcome as well. Overcome the most common, important and frustrating problems: no more unruly behaviour; no more pulling on the lead; no more selective deafness; teach self-control, and social skills.

MINI-SEMINARS ON TRAINING & BEHAVIOUR “ASK AUNTY KAYE”

Wed evenings, 8-15 pm to 9-15 pm 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th January, 2015 $110 for 4 weeks / $30 casual attendance “ASK AUNTY KAYE” This mini-seminar series is an opportunity to discuss with Kaye any aspect of trainingand behaviour, both theory and practice, how to “get it right” and how to troubleshoot problems. This can include headings such as: Behaviour problems Understanding Your Dog Training issues and concepts Training Techniques There will also be one Open Agenda session, in which you may raise any issues, and have a general brainstorm. ⇒ SAT AFTERNOONS IN JAN, Starting Sat 10th Jan

Sat afternoons, 3 pm to 4 pm 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st January 2015 This class is for a flexible group of fellow-enthusiasts who want the opportunity to train over the holiday period. Troubleshoot some of your existing training problems, brush up of training methods, fine-tune your technique… but best of all, relax and have some fun, try something different. Can you train your dog without saying a word? Can you train by body language and movement alone? Can you shape a behaviour without any kickstarting, luring or guidance at all?

SKILLS WORKSHOP #2 TRAINING RALPH – The Rambunctious Adolescent Lunging Posturing Hound TRAINING RALPH This workshop will be invaluable for dog owners, instructors and rescue/foster carers who are struggling with unruly adolescent dogs. These dogs are often dumped or surrendered. Our shelters are full of them. They challenge even the most patient and experienced trainers. Kaye teaches you the skills to calm RALPH down, teach him impulse control and to channel his energy productively – all without the need for punishment or harsh correction methods.
